The Crisp County School System is pleased to share that our very own, Mrs. Ella Perry, has received the "Champions for Education" award from CF-RESA this week!
Mrs. Perry, who works with students at Crisp County Primary School, truly embodies what it means to be a true Champion for Education.
A lifelong educator and servant leader, she has dedicated her life to nurturing the minds and hearts of Crisp County’s youngest learners. Even after retiring from her long and impactful career at CCPS, Mrs. Perry did not step away from her calling to serve.
She returned to the classroom, first at Crisp County Pre-K and then again at Crisp County Primary, continuing to shape the foundation of learning for countless students.
For the past year and a half, Mrs. Perry has played a vital role in supporting some of our most at-risk readers through targeted intervention funded by grant resources.
"Her deep understanding of literacy development, coupled with her patient and compassionate approach, has helped struggling students make meaningful progress and regain confidence in their abilities," Superintendent Dr. Brandon Williams said. "Beyond her direct work with students, Mrs. Perry serves as a mentor and guiding light for novice and less experienced teachers, modeling effective instruction and a steadfast commitment to student growth. Her service extends well beyond the classroom."
Mrs. Perry is an active member of Greater Morris Tabernacle in Cordele, and continues to pour into her community through faith, encouragement, and acts of kindness. Even after facing significant health challenges, she returned to serve, proving that her heart for children and education is unwavering.
Congratulations, Mrs. Perry!
