Hi! I’m Stephanie Payne, the ELA Academic Coach.

Here at CCPS, we are on the road to reading! Our awesome teachers use integrated content units for ELA instruction. Science and Social Studies content is embedded in our ELA curriculum to make learning meaningful and relevant! Students participate in Interactive Read Aloud time, Word Work, Grammar and Writing, and Small Group time. Centers take place in Kindergarten and Shared Reading is included for Second and Third Grades. Kindergarten through Second Grade also use Heggerty Phonemic Awareness to ensure a solid foundation for reading success!
